Entering a new chapter in its 145-year history, the Beau-Rivage recently unveiled a meticulous renovation, with modernized rooms and suites. The hotel's grand façade was painstakingly restored as were such historical details as frescoes and marble columns. The Select Suites, named for notable guests, all have private balconies overlooking the lake, Old Town or Geneva harbor. A destination for in-the-know gourmets, the Beau-Rivage boasts one of the most exciting culinary talents in Switzerland, Dominique Gauthier. His one-Michelin-star restaurant, Le Chat Botté, serves modern French cuisine, including a menu prepared personally by Dominique Gauthier at the private eight-person chef’s table.
