Yamazato has been awarded one Michelin star for its authentic menu featuring both sushi and kaiseki ryori, the traditional haute cuisine of Japan. The décor is also traditional, evoking the Sukiya style of the 15th and 16th centuries that was inspired by the Zen Buddhism tenet of simplicity.
