September 1, 2009 to January 31, 2010: Soft renovations are planned for the guest rooms. As the renovations will be done per floor, no disturbance will occur. Furthermore, Hotel de l Europe is expanding into neighboring buildings, adding another 24 new rooms and suites, 5 conference rooms and a new Wellness Center which will open in January 2010.

Overview

Hotel de l'Europe is a distinguished hotel built in the 19th century. Overlooking the Amstel River, and standing right in the heart of Amsterdam and its shopping, business, and cultural areas. Its beautiful, classically decorated guest rooms each have air conditioning and all modern amenities. The refined atmosphere and personalized service make the Hotel de l’Europe one of the best in Holland. There is also a gracious lounge where the works of genuine Dutch masters are on display.

**As of July 1, 2008: Due to Dutch Legislation, smoking will no longer be permitted in hotel restaurants and bars, hotel public areas and some guest rooms. Smoking is permitted on balconies, 2 smoking guestroom floors, and an indoor smoking area. **
