Overview
One&Only Palmilla rests on the tip of the Baja Peninsula where the azure ocean greets the mountainous desert terrain. The intimate resort was founded in 1956 by Don Abelardo Rodriguez, son of General Abelardo Rodriguez the interim president of Mexico, and has been a favorite retreat for the likes of Hemingway and Harlow. One&Only Palmilla is situated on a 250-acre portion of a 900-acre, master-planned community that includes a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and one of the few swimmable beaches in the destination. The resort features casually elegant accommodations, all with ocean views; a full-service spa with 13 private treatment villas, fitness center and salon; an executive conference center; two infinity-edge pools; a children’s pool and play area; and a quaint chapel overlooking the tropical grounds. Service at One&Only Palmilla is unparalleled yet completely unobtrusive. Butler service is provided to all rooms, with dedicated butlers assigned to each of the suites. The new One&Only Spa at Palmilla celebrates the unique natural setting of Los Cabos and the architectural and artistic heritage of Mexico’s culture. Thirteen private treatment villas, accommodating one or two people, provide the perfect indoor/outdoor setting for guests to enjoy their spa regime in complete sanctuary. The spa also features a full-service hair and nail salon, fitness center, outdoor hydrotherapy pool and a yoga garden.

One&Only Palmilla’s conference facilities, encompassing more than 5,000 square feet, features a 3,000-square foot ballroom, a dedicated board room and a broad range of choices of exceptional outdoor venues, including a central courtyard, which all take full advantage of the resort’s natural setting and beauty. One&Only Palmilla provides an idyllic location for a wedding or honeymoon - including its own historic chapel, which was built in 1956 along with the original resort. Located on a hill in the center of the tropical grounds, the chapel is in traditional Mexican style, whitewashed with arched doorways and windows. The chapel can accommodate private ceremonies for up to 50 guests.
