The resort has 57 sumptuous guest rooms located in nine, single and two-story adobe village-style buildings along a terraced hillside, a luxurious spa, ballroom and function space, swimming pool, two tennis courts, a croquet lawn and vineyard.
Dining
Under the direction of celebrated Executive Chef, Cal Stamenov, guests can enjoy culinary delights in either of our two restaurants, Marinus or Wickets Bistro. Dining is available indoors or outdoors in both venues as well as poolside. Marinus is highlighted by a stunning 12-foot wide European fireplace with raised hearth that provides magnificent garden and mountain views and old-world wine country charm. Open for dinner nightly, Marinus offers a menu that is distinctively Cal-French and will tempt your palate and keep you wanting more. Wickets offers a creative bistro-style menu in a casual resort setting. The adjacent stone fireplace creates a stunning ambiance, perfect for an evening nightcap or a light meal. At Wickets, you can enjoy delectable bistro classics such as Duck confit, Steak Frites, and an assortment of shellfish and seafood. Wickets is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a full bar.
Recreation and Health
The Spa provides a tranquil place where guests can enjoy head-to-toe pampering, relax, work out, and where couples can reconnect in an intimate setting. The Spa boasts seven treatment rooms in total. Five rooms are dedicated to massage and body treatments, two are facial rooms, and a unique private steam room with Vichy Shower is available for our signature, "Taste of Hawaii'" treatment. The Vineyard Room, designed specifically for couples, offers oversized treatment tables, a shower built for two, and French doors leading to an outdoor therapy bath and private meditation garden. This room offers couples ultimate privacy with scenic peaceful surroundings. The warming room is a tranquil area where guests relax with friends and loved ones by an indoor fireplace and enjoy herbal teas in anticipation of their treatments. Kept at a cozy 80 degrees, the warming room is the perfect place to lounge on a comfortable chair under a chenille throw blanket. The men's and ladies' locker rooms provide separate steam and sauna facilities. An exercise room is also available to guests 24-hours. The atmosphere of The Spa is serene yet social, giving couples and friends the opportunity to share their spa experiences with one another. The Salon at Bernardus offers a full array of manicure, pedicure, cutting, styling, coloring, and makeup application services. In addition to the Spa and Salon, Bernardus Lodge feature two tennis courts, a croquet lawn, Bocce court, and an outdoor heated lap-length swimming pool. Additional recreational opportunities available to guests include golf at ten nearby championship courses, hiking and horseback riding on 4,400 acres of mountain trails near to the resort; biking along scenic trails; whale watching, deep-sea fishing, kayaking and scuba diving in the beautiful Monterey Bay.
