Set beneath a stunning geometric ceiling of black, cobalt and gold, the gracious, formal Arabesque serves a mix of Middle Eastern and international fare paired with bottles from the hotel’s award-winning wine cellar.

Once the American Colony dairy, the Cellar Bar became a meeting place for journalists from across the world. They still gather here with guests and locals alike to unwind beneath the arching white ceilings and pink stone floors.
At the heart of the American Colony Hotel, you can imagine past guests like Graham Greene, Winston Churchill and Lawrence of Arabia sipping cocktails here, around the stone fountain and under the shade of mulberry trees. The restaurant is now open for casual meals from breakfast to dinner.
Set amid the swaying palms and brightly hued flowers in the Palm House Garden, the Summer Bar is beloved by guests and locals alike for its breezy summer barbecues. The bartenders mix a mean cocktail and will also select bottles from the hotel’s award-winning wine cellar.
Sip a morning cappuccino and read the paper at this al fresco café by the entrance to the hotel. Watch the comings and goings while you have a quick lunch or gossip over drinks around the brightly hued mosaic tables.
Wicker chairs surround white-tablecloth café tables at the cozy Val’s. With poolside views in the summer and a roaring fire in the winter, it’s an inviting spot to laze away an afternoon over high tea or an a la carte menu of both local and European dishes.
