Set among 250 acres of woodland, this century-old palace hotel has been rejuvenated to its full splendor.
As if bathed in the revitalizing water of the town of Vidago’s underground springs, this 1910 landmark palace is enjoying a grand renaissance. With an emphasis on preservation as much as innovation, the unchanged Belle Époque façade appears in orange and white between the patchwork of cedar, pine and holly trees. The interiors, too, bring glory to the high-ceilings, stucco artwork and floor-to-ceiling flourishes of classic Noble architecture. The modernist wing of the world-class spa highlights the hotel’s refined eye to the future, providing a contemporary take on a traditional Portuguese thermal spa with twenty treatment rooms, five hydro pools and an indoor swimming pool, all using the region’s curative waters.
