Many hotels claim to have a world-class art collection but in the case of the stunning Le Negresco, it is utterly true—and then some. Works by Moretti, Dalí and sculptress Niki de Saint-Phalle are strikingly mixed in with the interiors’ rare antiques and historical paintings. Jeanne Augier (family-owner from 1957 to 2019) was an art connoisseur who amassed a museum-worthy collection here (the Negresco has been). The striking pink-andwhite building itself, complete with a domed tower, is a National Historic Monument and faces the Bay of Angels. The most sumptuous suites have balconies overlooking the sparkling sea, but all showcase Madame Augier’s exquisite taste. Guests inspired by the art here can visit such nearby museums as Musée Matisse and Musée National Marc Chagall.
