Many historic details of the original 15th century palace that houses the Palazzo Arzaga Hotel have been preserved.
Since the 15th-century, Palazzo Arzaga Hotel has stood on the rolling hills overlooking Lake Garda beneath the snowcapped Alps. Many historic details of the original palace have been preserved, including the gate and arched chestnut grove entrance, and the vaulted wooden ceilings and 16th-century frescoes, attributed to Baroque painter Guido Reni. Guests relax beside the elevated outdoor swimming pool or in the tranquil spa with natural thermal baths, but golf aficionados are drawn to the two championship golf courses. Designed by Jack Nicklaus II and Gary Player, they are known for their long, sweeping greens and hidden bunkers, all framed by the mountains and Lagos di Garda, the country's largest lake whose shores are sprinkled with picturesque villages.
