L’Andana is located in the stunning Maremma region, known for its lush countryside that stretches to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The former hunting lodge of Leopold II, Duke of Tuscany, L’Andana is located in Italy's stunning Maremma region, celebrated for its lush countryside that stretches to the Tyrrhenian Sea. More recently, the bucolic setting enchanted Alain Ducasse, the legendary chef and restaurateur who teamed up with entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti to design his version of an Italian countryside inn. L'Andana's long driveway is lined with cypress trees, with vistas of olive orchards and vineyards in the distance, immediately evoking Tuscan beauty. Not surprisingly, food and wine are the focal points of a stay: Trattoria Toscana is Italy's sole Alain Ducasse establishment and its wine cellar makes the most of the property's desirable location: the majority of the 250-plus labels are local.
