Originally built in 1904 as the official residence of the highest British representative to the Malay States, Carcosa Seri Negara is a halkmark of Malaysia's national heritage. Restored to its former glory, the boutique hotel features 13 elegant Victorian-styled suites dispersed amongst 2 formidable mansions within 4 acres of lush landscaping. 13 suites - each with a personal butler, in-room safe, complimentary mini-bar, wireless Internet access, cable TV and DVD. Room rates are inclusive of breakfast. Some suites have a Jacuzzi tub and a private terrace or veranda.
Dining In
The Dining Room offers French cuisine (closed Sunday's) prepared by award-winning Michelin Chef. The elegant dining room overlooks the sweeping veranda and the gardens beyond.
The Bar adjoins The Dining Room and is the ideal venue for pre or post dinner drinks as well as enjoying a cigar.
The Gulai House offers the finest Malay cuisine. Informal dining can be enjoyed in-door in the intimate restaurant or outdoors on the Veranda.
The Drawing Room is the venue for the authentic and infamous English Afternoon Tea served either in the original drawing room itself or on the shaded veranda that surrounds this mansion.
Room Service is available 24-hours daily, served by each guests' private butler.
