Overview
This magnificent, fully-refurbished, deluxe Hotel dates from 1872 and sits in the heart of Geneva's shopping and financial districts - just fifteen minutes from the airport, five minutes from the railway station, and no more than an hour away from superb Alpine Skiing. Its 45 individually decorated rooms, some non-smoking, are sumptuously furnished, soundproofed, air-conditioned and have beautiful marble bathrooms. Many rooms and suites also have balconies and guests are able to enjoy stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Dining In
The acclaimed maestro, Chef Philippe Audonnet, created the concept of 'Windows' for Hotel d'Angleterre. From midday until 10 pm, every day, guests may choose their own gastronomic treats according to their appetite and fancy. What better way to enhance enjoyment of superb international cuisine than to sit in this glorious location and savour the stunning views of both Lake Geneva and the mountains which surround it? The elegant 'Leopard' bar provides the perfect, cozy and relaxing meeting place. From 5.30pm until 2am, guests may soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a range of fine beers, wines and spirits. Light snacks are available until 11pm and five nights each week, excellent live music is featured.
