EU - U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework

With respect to transfers originating from the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and Switzerland, LHW participates in the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (collectively, the “Framework”) as set out by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of Personal Information from the European Union and Switzerland. LHW provides notice to all covered data subjects in the EEA and Switzerland about the collection, use, and disclosure of their Personal Information through internal company policies. While the European Court of Justice has held that the U.S.-EU Privacy Shield Framework is no longer "adequate" for the transfer of personal data from the EU to the U.S., LHW continues to abide by the privacy principles and other requirements of Privacy Shield with respect to personal information we collect in the U.S. from data subjects in the European Union. In addition, LHW has implemented other appropriate cross-border transfer solutions, in accordance with Article 49 of the General Data Protection Regulation, to provide adequate protection for transfers of certain personal information from the EU to the U.S. For more information about our certification to the Framework, please click here:, or to visit the U.S. Department of Commerce site please click here: Data subjects in Europe or others with inquiries or complaints should reach out to the LHW Privacy Shield Contact at
