Top Architecture Find
Mykonos’ most famous church, the rock-like Panagia Paraportiani comprises four small chapels plus a fifth on an upper story and reached by an exterior staircase. It is actually five small churches amalgamated, in classical Byzantine style, into one asymmetrical entity, looking as if it has grown from the rocky ground. Visitors should avoid entering during services, unless for genuine worship rather than sightseeing.
