The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) welcomes nine new member hotels to its global portfolio of more than 425 independent properties. The latest additions include newly opened hotels, restored heritage landmarks, private island retreats, and nature-led resorts across coastal, island and countryside settings. Spanning destinations across Europe, Africa and the Americas, the collection includes properties in Ireland, Italy, Crete, Costa Rica, Turks and Caicos, and Zanzibar, reflecting the continued expansion of LHW’s global footprint in both established and emerging luxury destinations. Together, these hotels highlight a broad spectrum of contemporary independent hospitality, from historic palazzos and coastal estates to design-led resorts and remote island escapes, each shaped by its surrounding landscape and local context.

“What makes these properties strong additions are the strategic values each brings to the collection,” said Dean Bannon, Vice President Member Success & Development, The Leading Hotels of the World. “The Hawthorn by Galway Bay gives LHW a meaningful first presence in Galway, Calamigos Ranch brings the depth and continuity of five generations of family ownership, and Palazzo Gattini shows how historic assets can be repositioned for today’s luxury traveler without losing their original character. Together, these new members strengthen the portfolio with hotels that are distinctive, well-operated, and highly relevant.”
